Ketan Soni Named to the 2026 North Carolina Legal 250!

SBEM is proud to announce that Ketan Soni has named to the inaugural North Carolina Legal 250, published by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly.

The North Carolina Legal 250 recognizes 250 attorneys across 27 categories who are making a meaningful impact on the state’s legal landscape and in their communities. Honorees were selected through an open, statewide nomination process along with selections by the Lawyers Weekly editorial team. The publication took nearly six months to produce.

25 years of focused family law practice

Ketan has practiced for 25 years, concentrating in family law, mediation and arbitration. He is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Family Law Specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Both credentials reflect a high level of experience and peer recognition in the field.

A trusted resource on complex financial matters

Within the legal community, Ketan is known for his skill with the financial side of family law. That includes business valuations, complex asset analysis and financial modeling. Other attorneys regularly call on him to help their clients through disputes that require a deep understanding of the full financial picture. For families facing divorce or separation involving businesses, investments or significant assets, that expertise can make a real difference in the outcome.

Leadership in the profession

Ketan has served as chair of both the North Carolina Bar Association’s Family Law Section and the Mecklenburg County Bar’s Family Law Section. He also previously served as a North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commissioner, helping shape how mediation and alternative dispute resolution work across the state.
