M. Grace Massarelli

Grace Massarelli represents clients in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, and premarital and postmarital agreements. She approaches each case with compassion, preparation, and a clear understanding that family law clients are often facing one of the most difficult periods of their lives as they navigate their next chapter.

Mentorship is central to Grace’s professional life. She credits her own mentors with helping her develop the skills needed to excel as both a law student and practitioner.  She is committed to providing that same encouragement and guidance to others and regularly mentors young women entering the legal profession, making herself available as they navigate law school, career decisions, and the early years of practice.

Grace remains especially connected to Campbell Law, where she serves as a coach for the school’s Client Counseling Team. She provides students with practical guidance on client communication, counseling strategy, teamwork, and professional confidence and courtesy  as they prepare for American Bar Association competitions. Most recently, she took her two Campbell teams to the ABA Client Counseling Competition regional event in Norman, Oklahoma, where the teams placed second and third.

Her work with Campbell’s students is a natural continuation of her own law school experience. As a student, Grace won the Richard T. Bowser Client Counseling Competition twice and the ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition advancing to the national competition twice. In addition to client counseling, she served as an Honor Court Justice, Campbell Law Student Ambassador, and participated in Teen Court, The Child’s Advocate, and the Re-Entry Clinic. Campbell Law featured Grace in its 2024 Alumni Spotlight, highlighting her family law practice and commitment to mentoring future attorneys. 

Grace also coaches high school students through YMCA Youth and Government, helping them strengthen their public speaking, advocacy, critical thinking, and courtroom skills. She serves on the YMCA of the Triangle Young Professionals Board and volunteers with Legal Aid of North Carolina as a Lawyer of the Day, providing family law guidance to Wake County residents.

Grace’s professional accomplishments have earned recognition from several legal and professional organizations. She was selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2024, 2025, and 2026. She was also named to Business North Carolina’s 2026 Legal Elite in Family Law and selected for inclusion in the 2026 edition of Marquis Who’s Who in America. Her work and perspective on family law have also been featured by Attorney at Law Magazine and on the A Year and a Day podcast.

Grace earned her Juris Doctor from Campbell University School of Law in 2021 and her Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2018. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Campbell Law School Alumni Association, and the Craven-Everett American Inn of Court.
